Check Valves


The check valve is used in multi-evaporator systems when it is installed in the suction line of the warmest evaporator. Check valves are necessary to prevent migration of refrigerant from the warmer to the cooler evaporators during off cycles. In this way, check valves increase the energy efficiency of the system by reducing the energy consumption of the compressor.

The check valve can be described as follows.

• Maximum working pressure : 4,15 MPa
• Fluid : R134a, R600a
• Allowable fluid temperature : -30 C° / +120 C°
• Min. opening pressure difference : 10 mbar
• Valve leakage : 0.8 bar dry air (or nitrogen) the leakage rate is maximum 0,1 liter/minute
9,81 bar dry air (or nitrogen) the leakage rate is maximum 0,5 liter/minute
• Pressure drop : Max. Pressure Loss 20 mbar at 16.6 lt/min dry air or N2 (Cv Value : 0.3 ± 0.05)
• Valve life : 500.000 cycles at ∆P 4 bar
• Copper tube : OD 8,6 mm-WT 0,8 mm or OD 8 mm – WT 0,7 mm
• The diameter of the end of the check valve can be produced according to the customer’s request by the end-forming process.
