AN INTERTWINED STORY OF MANUFACTURING, DYNAMISM AND INNOVATION

Since

1979

  • KONVEYOR was founded as a manufacturer of chain-forged overhead conveyor systems by AKSU family and 2 other partners.

  • 1981 marks our first step into home appliances. We started manufacturing aluminium-forged burner caps for gas cookers, which are more efficient for gas consumption.

  • In 1988, AKSU family bought-out other partners and the production was moved to a 300 m2 rental building in Kartal, Istanbul.
    Here, we started manufacturing Aluminium gas tubes for cookers and Copper tubing for air conditioners.

  • 1992LAST CONVEYOR SYSTEM WAS MOUNTED

    • We started manufacturing Aluminium and Copper suction tubes for refrigerators.
    • Our first branch in Eskişehir was established, supplying to the largest refrigerator plant of the country at the time.

  • 1994Start of manufacturing Cu Boiler Tubes

    As the business grew, a couple more buildings were rented nearby Kartal and total closed area reached 2.000 m2 in Istanbul.

  • 1997Moving Tuzla

    Settling into both of our own factories in the industrial districts of Tuzla, Istanbul (5000 sqm), and Eskisehir (3000 sqm)

  • 1998Certified for ISO 9001 by RWTÜV of Germany

  • 1999Eskisehir factory was enlarged to 6000 m²

  • 2001KONMAK

    • We purchased a new 2.000 m2 building next to our Tuzla plant and established KONMAK as a subsidiary for our in-house machine building operations.
    • We also started manufacturing Wire-on-Tube (WOT) products in Eskişehir.

  • 2002MAKON

    • We established another subsidiary in Manisa (MAKON) and started manufacturing Copper tubing for air conditioners there.
    • We started manufacturing Copper capillary tubes and our R&D projects in KONMAK.

  • 2003STARTED MANUFACTURING NO-FROST EVAPORATORS IN ISTANBUL

  • 2004ESTABLISHMENT OF THE FREE ZONE PLANT

    • Due to demand of more production space, we started construction of a new factory (15.000 m2) in the Free Zone Area near Tuzla plants.
    • Eskişehir factory was also expanded to 12.000 m2.

  • 2005KONVEYOR LTD.

    • We started manufacturing in the Free Zone Plant under our third subsidiary named KONVEYOR LTD.
    • Manufacturing of no-frost evaporators, heat exchangers for export customers and the R&D organization from Tuzla and KONMAK were moved there.

  • 2006START OF ALUMINIUM EXTRUSION

    As part of our vertical integration strategy, we invested in our first aluminium tube extrusion line in KONVEYOR LTD, which was quickly followed by a second investment the next year.

  • 2007ESKISEHIR FACTORY WAS AWARDED ISO 14000 CERTIFICATION

  • 2008THIRD ALUMINIUM TUBE EXTRUSTION LINE INVESTMENT

    This year also marks our new innovation in no-frost evaporator production system.

  • 2009NO-FROST HEATING ELEMENTS

    We started manufacturing heating elements for no-frost evaporators in the Free Zone Plant, another example of our vertical integration.

  • 2010NEW PRODUCT GROUPS

    • We started manufacturing steel gas manifolds in Manisa.
    • After developing the machinery, we started manufacturing gigantic sized no-frost evaporators for commercial type refrigerators. This also marks our first export to the US.
    • New machines were also developed in-house for production of “glued” Plate-on-Tube evaporators.

  • 2011BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT WITH HYDRO

    • Although it’s no longer in place, we had a strategic partnership with Hydro for a few years.
    • Expansion of the Free Zone factory was started.
    • There was a re-organization within the group, and some subsidiaries were merged.
      Since then, the operating companies are:
      KONVEYOR A.S: Factories in Tuzla (2), Eskişehir (1) and Manisa (1)
      KONVEYOR LTD: Free Zone factory in Tuzla (1)

  • 2012FREE ZONE FACTORY EXPANSION COMPLETED

    • After construction, Free Zone factory reached 25.000 m2 of closed area.
    • We also invested in two more aluminium tube extrusion lines, bringing our total to 5.

  • 2013YEAR OF MILESTONES

    • We overtook the Wire-on-Tube (WOT) Condenser machinery from a global competitor that stopped its activities in Turkey.
      After this investment, Konveyor became the only supplier in Europe to manufacture all of the refrigeration cooling circuit components (except for compressor) under the same roof.
    • By the end of this year, we reached €100 Million turnover.

  • 2014ORHANLI PLANT

    • We built a new factory in the vicinity of the existing Istanbul plants, in order to move domestic production from the Free Zone plant to this location.
    • Free Zone Plant has been dedicated to exports only since the end of this year.

  • 2015NEW PRODUCTS

    • We established ourselves as a dynamic type WOT condenser manufacturer.
    • We also started manufacturing special painted copper tubes referred to as “evaporation tubes” or “immersion pipes” in the cooling circuits.

  • 2018KONVEYOR POLSKA

    We made a brown-field investment in Kalisz, Poland, which was named KONVEYOR POLSKA after our acquisition. It has around 10.000 m2 of closed area and 250 employees.

  • 2019NEW MANISA PLANT

    We built a new factory in Manisa Industrial Zone which has 25.000 m2 of closed area. All production from the previous factory was moved to this location right before Covid-19 pandemic hit.

  • 2021NEW ESKISEHIR PLANT

    • Although Covid-19 proved to be a global health crisis, our production boomed during this time.
    • We invested in a brand-new production line for expanded type heat exchangers.
    • We built a new factory building in Eskişehir Industrial Zone which has 25.000 m2 of closed area. In this new plant, we renewed our Zinc coating and Lacquer coating lines, and also moved our Powder coating facility from the Free Zone plant.
    • Production of wine and bottle racks, as well as check valves started this year.

  • 2022€200 MILLION TURNOVER

    By the end of 2022, our turnover exceed €200 Million and the number of employees surpassed 3000.

  • 2023TURQUALITY

    As of 2023, Konveyor was accepted into the Turquality Brand Development Programme, which is the most prestigious state incentive of Turkey.

  • 2025NEW CORPORATE IDENTITY

    To better reflect Konveyor’s growing vision and global ambitions, our corporate identity was renewed. Our new logo and visual system carry the strength of our heritage into the future through a more contemporary, refined, and internationally aligned brand language.

  • 2026MICROCHANNEL HEAT EXCHANGER PRODUCTION LINE

    With the launch of our new microchannel heat exchanger production line, Konveyor became the first company in Türkiye and Europe capable of manufacturing microchannel heat exchangers entirely in-house.
